RenovationsKitsilano Renovation

Project Overview

The core goal of this project was to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the home. The primary focus on this project was the basement. Due to the age of the home there was no interior stair access to the basement. In order to accommodate stairs we had to move the mechanical and plumbing systems. In addition we had to change the exterior access point and close off one door while adding another at the back.

Other key functionality that was added included a laundry room, built in Murphy bed, kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom.

Functional Focus

In order to work within a tighter space our team was forced to get creative when diving into this renovation project. This was a fun space to add multifunctional millwork and cabinetry. One of our favorite additions was building out a mock cabinet that folded out into a spare bed. Unique touches like this allowed us to save space while still meeting all the clients needs and accomplishing their vision for the space.
