Jordan Harrison

Founder + Owner

Construction has always been a big part of Jordan’s life. Prior to starting Square One in 2003, Jordan apprenticed as a woodworker, an electrician and operated numerous framing crews. His passion for design, obsession with quality and desire to create an innovative building company is why he founded Square One. Jordan is all about people and enjoys the ability to help them build beautiful projects. When he’s not building Jordan is often found with his wife and 5 kids preferably snowboarding or wake surfing.

Scott Friesen

Construction Manager

Scott is very well versed in all things construction. As a certified draftsperson and owner of a successful architectural concrete company, Scott’s creative passion naturally led him to building homes. With an eye for design and attention to detail, Scott brings an immense amount of talent and experience to Square One. When Scott isn’t on the job you’ll either find him with his family or in the ocean searching for waves to surf.

Todd Fierbach

Construction Manager

Todd’s happy go lucky demeanour and ever-present smile are some of the reasons that everyone loves him. His extensive construction background, leadership and effective management are evident in everything he does. Focusing on solving problems and ensuring things are done right are key factors in his ability to always runs successful projects. Todd is also a family man and fancies himself a multi disciplinary athlete. Whether squash, golf, darts, spikeball, hunting, snowboarding or surfing you can bet Todd is going to bring the heat.

Joey Hymers

Project Manager

Is there anything this guy can’t do? Trained in architectural building and engineering technology at BCIT, he has a very good understanding of structural complexities and building science. In addition he’s a ticketed carpenter as well as an estimator and project manager. Joey oversees all Square One projects to ensure budgets are adhered to, schedules are maintained and clients are happy. Joey is an avid outdoorsman and can often be found with his wife hiking the West Coast trail or camping throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Jay Flannigan

Construction Manager

“Jaybird” possesses many talents and is always bringing his A game. His background in carpentry and construction management allows him to tackle anything that’s thrown at him. Jay’s decades of experience are evident through his dedication to quality and work ethic. When Jay is not with his family or mountain biking, he can be found honing his dart skills. Described by many as an extremely technical player, his long-term ambition is to rank in the top 10 under 50 male dart players within Square One.

Chevyn Busby

Carpenter

Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is synonymous with Chevyn‘s work. No matter what type of project he’s working on, you can always count on his work being top notch. His diverse skillset enables him to trouble shoot even the most technical challenges. Although he’s an outdoorsman at heart, his real fixation is with demolition derbies and has been heard saying, “car crashes, I can’t get enough of them!”

Carly Gibson

Accountant

As a CPA & CGA, Carly’s accounting wizardry brings a keen eye to the bottom line. She’s constantly looking to reduce operational inefficiencies, overseeing budgets, acting as accounts payable and receivable as well as producing the many spreadsheets that Jordan asks for. When Carly is not crunching numbers, compiling reports and crushing deadlines she can be found running and walking her dog.

Matt Hutton

Construction Manager

Matt brings years of construction management experience and industry knowledge to the team. Years of hands on carpentry work and running complex building and renovation projects are evident on every project he runs. Matt always gives 100% and has a work hard and play hard attitude. In the rare moments when Matt is not working, he can be found riding his motorbike and backcountry skiing.

Jacob Moraes

Carpenter

Jacob AKA “Paquito” is the strong silent type. Always smiling and working hard, he is constantly committed to giving his best no matter what type of job is put in front of him. His carpentry training and desire for continual improvement are evident in his work ethic and craftsmanship. Jacob enjoys spending time outdoors when he’s not on the job.
